The Stone House-1835

The Stone House stands as a testament to the history and heritage of McConnelsville, Ohio. Originally built as a stagecoach stop and tavern house, it was a place of warmth, hospitality, and connection for weary travelers. Over the decades, its sturdy walls have witnessed countless stories, from lively gatherings to quiet moments of rest.

Today, The Stone House, situated just a short drive from Jesse Owens State Park and within walking distance of Twin City Opera House, continues to fulfill its original purpose, welcoming guests from near and far with open arms. A historic hotel offering modern comforts, it’s a space where people can gather, unwind, and create their own stories, just as was intended from the start.

The Morris House-1844

The Morris House is a tribute to the artistry and craftsmanship of its original residents, George and Margaret Morris, and their daughter, Maria. Like its counterpart, The Stone House, this historic Ohio hotel retains its finest original details while embracing the comfort of modern living. Soaring ceilings showcase the intricate pressed tinwork that speaks to the romantic inn's storied past. Original millwork and thoughtfully upcycled antiques create an ambiance of timeless elegance. Each luxury, extended-stay suite marries these historic elements with contemporary updates, offering guests an indulgent home away from home.

Adding to its unique character, The Morris House is home to Percy's Antiques and Vintage, where guests can explore and shop an exquisite collection of timeless pieces. Also the Inn’s lobby, the antique store makes arrivals feel cozy and memorable.

Dan and Amy’s private living quarters on site lend a personal touch to the property, making it both a historic building and a cherished, lived-in home. If you’re looking for a relaxing hotel near The Wilds in Ohio, we welcome you to The Inns at 8th and Main.
